Brazilian Butt Lift before or after pregnancy?
Before getting almost any type of cosmetic surgery, most women think about what time of their life would be best to get the procedure done. It is even more common for women to think about giving birth before having any type of cosmetic surgery done on their body. While this is a big concern for some, others don’t really think of this. For some procedures, such as a tummy tuck, it may be best to wait until after you’ve had kids and don’t plan on having any more. But luckily, for those thinking of getting a Brazilian Butt Lift, it does not matter whether you have your surgery done before or after having kids. Pregnancy does not affect the results of the procedure.
The Brazilian Butt Lift consists of liposuction and fat transfers. Therefore, unlike a tummy tuck, liposuction will not cause problems with future pregnancies. Due to the fact that liposuction is a shape changing procedure, not a weight changing one; after pregnancy, you will still have the shape that was formed during the surgery. This does not mean that you will not gain weight. As long as you take care of your body and continue with your healthy eating habits during pregnancy, you will jump right back into your pre-pregnancy shape after giving birth. Because liposuction prevents those fat cells from replicating, if you do gain weight, you will still keep the form you had right after your procedure.
If this is what you really want within the next few years, but do not plan on having kids for a long time, then you are better off getting your Brazilian Butt Lift done now. For those women that want kids within the next couple of years, then it may be better to just wait until after your pregnancy to get the procedure done. If you do decide to get your BBL done after having kids, plan accordingly. You will need time to recover and will not be able to pick up your kids immediately after surgery.
This is often a big issue and concern among most women. Many doctors and experts have shared that pregnancy will not affect the results. But the decision is ultimately yours. You want to have your surgery at a time where you will feel most comfortable doing so. Whether you decide to have your surgery before or after having kids, you are likely to love your results and be happy with your new shape and new butt!
