New study shows high patient satisfaction after butt lift
Buttock augmentation with fat grafting, most popularly known as Brazilian butt lift or BBL, has become one of the most sought-after aesthetic surgeries in South Florida and throughout the United States. A new study focused on buttock augmentation by Dr. Thomas A. Pane, a prestigious surgeon at Jolie Plastic Surgery, shed some light on the subject.
According to the research published by Oxford University Press, most women undergoing buttock augmentation with high-volume buttock fat transfer are very satisfied with the results. In the study, 137 patients, aged 19-56 years, were analyzed. A remarkable percentage (86.1%) of these women was happy with the surgical outcomes. Nobody complained their buttocks were too large. In fact, nineteen patients (13.9%) wanted bigger bottoms with eight patients choose an additional fat transfer procedure.
Only twelve patients (8.8%) had minor cosmetic issues, and ten patients (7.3%) had minor medical complications. No patient experienced major surgical complications such as infection, skin loss, nervous thromboembolism, and fat embolism. As long as a qualified plastic surgeon performs the procedure, patients can expect a higher chance of producing excellent results and less risk of serious complications.
Another similar study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) shows 57 out of the 58 women who underwent this procedure being satisfied with the results. In the study, patients underwent liposuction of the flanks, thighs, and sub-gluteal region to shape the buttocks - 98% of these women experienced significant improvement and were happy with the outcome.
Top Benefits of Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery
A BBL can lead to more natural results than butt implants, and pose a lower complication rate. You don’t have to worry about scarring because there is no an incision but rather injection points, which are almost invisible. The results are permanent. Patients, who want to make their butts to look rounder and firmer due to sagging, can expect amazing results from this procedure. Also, since the patients’ own fat is used to give the buttocks a fuller look, allergic reactions and complication rates are rare.
